Asante Kumasi, Jan 4, GNA - The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) has presented assorted food items to the inmates of Kumasi Children's Home.
These included 10 bags of rice, boxes of biscuit, confectionery and edible oil.
Dr Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, said the Government would do everything to make life comfortable for the needy and the under privileged through pro-poor initiatives and development programmes.
He gave the assurance that the RCC would assist them Orphanage to complete a housing project it was undertaking to improve the accommodation situation there.
Madam Victoria Asugnya, Supervisor of the Home, who received the gifts, thanked the Council for the gesture.
She appealed to the Government to commit more resources to assist in the early completion of the project.
