The Convention People’s Party has inaugurated a new constituency office at Trobu Amasaman in the Greater Accra region.

The CPP team was led by the National Chair and Leader, Ms Samia Yaba Nkrumah; the 2nd National Vice Chairperson, Rodaline Imoru Ayarna; the General Secretary, Mr Ivor Kobina Greenstreet; the Women’s Organiser, Ms Mary Ankoma Boakye-Boateng; the National Organiser, Abu Forgor; Kwame Jantuah, Hajia Hamdatu Haruna, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Nana Boadi and a host of regional, constituency, and ward executive members.

According to a press release signed by the Director of Communication of the CPP, Nii Armah Akomfrah, the grounds were decked in CPP Party colours: Red, White and Green.

Speaker after speaker applauded the selflessness of the CPP branch members, led by the Constituency Chairman, Mr Amos A. Abutu, who worked hard to secure donations from local, regional and national party members to buy building materials.

The building works, the release stated, were carried out entirely by CPP members—masons, electricians, carpenters, painters, etc.—who all gave their services voluntarily and freely.

Ms Nkrumah said that the CPP needed to help itself first before others could help the CPP.

She described Trobu Amasaman as the way forward, which, if replicated, would move the party forward.

The General Secretary in his speech told members that the CPP was led by an able team under Samia Nkrumah and that the new CPP had new plans for Ghana.

The Regional Chairman, Mr Boadi, asked all to contribute their widow’s mite to help the party.

The National Organiser, Mr Abu Forgor, also invited all who were not members of the party to register or miss the CPP train to government. He appealed to registered members to be serious and active.

Later, the leadership of the CPP visited the market centre and taxi-ranks and interacted with both market queens and taxi drivers and concluded with a street parade on local streets.
