DELEGATES IN the Bosomtwe constituency in the Ashanti region have endorsed the candidature of the Energy Minister,  Dr. Joseph Oteng Agyei in a popular acclamation to contest the 2012 elections on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic (NDC).

Dr. Agyei has assured the delegates of a convincing win and appealed to the party to remain united in order to take the seat from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). He hoped that in spite of defeats since 1996 to 2008, the electorate would give him the chance to serve them.

He said the trust reposed in him by the President by appointing him as a Minister of State was enough proof of his capability to represent them, and lead them to the Promised Land by bringing development to their door steps.

Dr. Agyei pointed to the numerous infrastructure developments in terms of roads, electricity and Education that he brought to the area, since he was made a Minister, and said every effort is being made to establish a University of Bosomtwe at Pramso.

He appealed to the executives of the party in the constituency to remain united and help rekindle the spirit of the branches, and make sure their meetings are on course, to help make the party attractive to the floating voters, and help win the 2012 elections easily.

'Let's stop the internal fighting and remain united, because the chances of winning the seat are very bright, and with determination and unity, nothing is unachievable', he stated.
