… THEY HOOT AT HIS CONVOY President Kufuor last Friday had a first hand experience of how unpopular his government has become within the Dagbon Kingdom when he was accorded a very cold reception by residents of Dagbon’s largest metropolis, Tamale. According to the FREE PRESS, there was none of the spontaneous welcome usually accorded to President Kufuor on his earlier visits and instead insults and curses were hurled by spectators as his motorcade drove by.
They among other things accused President Kufuor of being involved in the murder of the Ya-Na and also tribalistic tendencies.
He was in Tamale from Nalerigu after attending the funeral of the Paramount Chief, Nayiri, Naa Gamni Mahamadu Abdulai.
