Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr, says the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has no better candidate to lead it in the 2012 elections than Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, who was the party's flag bearer in the 2008 elections.

Dr Nduom, according to Kweku Baako, is better placed than other contender for the flagbearership slot to win the race because he has demonstrated unmatched commitment to the success of the party.

“…Of all the aspirants who are displaying themselves out there… for the presidential slot, if you ask me to make a choice I tell you there is none better than Nduom…

“In terms of political, creative thinking, strategy, logistical capacity and others, nobody is comparable to him,” Baako said.

On Peace FM's Kokrokoo morning show Wednesday, Malik Baako who was contributing to discussion on the recent wrangling within his party, alleged that some CPP members were happy about the misunderstanding between party chairperson Samia Yaba Nkrumah and Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom and were busily feeding on it to undermine the former flagbearer.

He contended that Nduom's opponents had the view they would have some political advantage over him should the congress to elect a new flagbearer delay.

But Kweku Baako pointed out that: “I can tell you if the congress is held even one day to the election (2012) Nduom will still win...because he has performed better than most of them.”

“…In terms of organisation, in terms of commitment, he is better than most of all those people who are trying to put themselves out there as flagbearers even though I will not support him [in the presidential election],” Baako insisted.

Touching on Samia's harsh comments against Dr Nduom - that the party will not tolerate Dr Nduom's nonsense - the editor was unhappy about Samia's use of intemperate language, saying she made an error of judgement and urged her to exercise restraint when provoked.

Baako urged her to focus on uniting the party promising his total support for her.

Kweku Baako hoped all factions in the party would compromise for unity and peace to prevail within the CPP.
