Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the Nappy Wearing Spoilt Brat and a Deluded Irritant!!

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!! That is how dimwits and ignoramuses wear their ignorance on their chest like a badge of honour for the world to see their folly!!! This was how I reacted when I heard the weirdo called Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the NDCs “Oil Analyst” refer to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a “… a belligerent braggart ……having wet dreams” on prime time TV. Readers would agree when I say that Ghana's precious pearls have indeed been cast down to pigs that are trampling on them with the impunity of a mad cow. Felix Ofosu Kwakye's stock in trade has been to attack personalities rather than attack issues and his unsavoury comment about the flag-bearer of the NPP was in bad taste. The NDC call him an “Oil Analyst” but the greater majority of Ghanaians know that he has never analysed issues other than throw insults about. The fact is, he has the analytical quotient of a rotten egg as he is always found wanting when he goes to various studios to discuss issues with co-panellists. Rather, he is only good at twisting and turning round issues with the balanced dexterity of a slalom skier and yet contributes nothing to the topic on the table. But he is in good company though if look at the marauding gang of the Baba Jamals, Kobby Achempongs, Rojo Mettle Nunoos et al parading the corridors of power today.

What was Nana Addo's crime to warrant such unsavoury response from this ill-mannered buffoon? That Nana Addo dared to tell KNUST branch of the NPP that: “…the world was never built by people of little vision and little imagination, the world belongs to those who can think big, act big and do big things and for that to happen the only political force in our country that can bring about this transformation and change is the New Patriotic Party……There is no other party that can do it. At all cost we should win the elections in 2012…” It is the desire of any politician and for that any political party to win power and to do “big” things for their country albeit, few of the “big” things they dream about becomes a reality, it does not make it wrong to “dream big”. In truth, it is even inspirational and I believe Felix Ofosu Kwakye would not have become who is today if he hasn't dreamt to become the so-called “Oil Analyst” the NDC claims he is; a tag he wears with pride. So we “dream” as individuals and we collectively “dream” as a proud nation to reach the height of the developed countries. My question is this: who would Ghanaians prefer: A confident and big dreamer or a sleepy, passive and visionless leader who can't even control his own marauding Rottweilers who keep gnashing at the poor electorates who voted them into office? In our Ghanaian society, anyone brought up in a good home talk with measured care in order not to offend the listening public but when a person or a group of persons make it their sole preserve to denigrate the character and integrity of others, then the same society will have no sympathy when those mob of riff-raffs are paid back in equal measure. That is why our people say; “kukuru kukuru no gyae a, kekere kekere no begyae.” Felix Ofosu Kwakye has every right to disagree if he thinks Nana Addo and the NPP can't achieve their dreams but if he decides to descend into the gutter to throw mud at the NPP then some of us will take him deep down into the trenches to feed him with sewerage.

If a drooling creep like Felix Ofosu Kwakye thinks it is wrong to dream big, then he should keep his counsel. After all, when the NPP launched the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), the NDC, which he proudly belongs to proclaimed in every nook and cranny of the country that it was an impossible wild dream but Ghanaians saw the reality of those dreams during NPPs tenure. Again when the NPP discovered oil in commercial quantities for the country, the NDC shamelessly ridiculed it even in parliament as they did other initiatives like LEAP, School Feeding Programme, Metro Mass Transport, Capitation Grant among others. The nation's development is at a standstill today because it is the opinions of dimwits and wimps like Felix Ofosu Kwakye which holds way on our national media circus. He is only a nappy wearing spoilt brat and a twat only good at reducing matters of national importance to inconsequential level with invectives and silly infantile arguments. Funny how this twerp and a creepy freak of an “Oil Analyst” who lacks basic analytical thinking want Ghanaians to listen to his bunkum! Power, indeed has gone to the dogs. President Rawlings was damn right when he posed the rhetorical question: “Who born dog?”.

Whether Felix Ofosu Kwakye and the NDC likes or not, Ghanaians are looking forward to someone who could dream big to help us move the country forward. That is the only way we could attain the level of the developed world. South Korea and Malaysia who started with Ghana in the 1950s are miles ahead and aren't waiting for us. If we ever want to attain their status in future, then we have to have people who can dream big at the helm of affairs of the country. Nana Addo was right, “……the world was never built by people of little vision……” Great men and women the world over have always had a dream and it is the dreams of these great men which set them apart from the docile others. It is their “big dreams” which inspire them to tread on uncharted territories where few dared. Dr Martin Luther King is a black hero not only in America but in the whole wide world because he “…had a dream…” and verbalised that dream for everyone to know about it. Though he did not live to see his dream become a reality, yet we are all witnesses to the reality of Dr Luther King's dream today. Our own Dr Kwame Nkrumah had a dream about how he wanted to industrialise the country and started off by building the Akosombo Dam, Tema Industrial City etc. Dr Nkrumah's a dream about African Unity is well chronicled and that needn't have me adding to it. In recent times though, President Obama's “Yes We Can” slogan was the former's big dream which has seen the light of the day with him becoming the first black President of the United States of America. Fickle minds like Felix Ofosu Kwakye only have to read history to inform themselves about the “big dreams” of great men and stop their lachrymose lamentations about what Nana Addo said to the KNUST students. In any case, if Felix Ofosu Kwakye refers to Nana Addo as having a “…wet dream...” by thinking big about Ghana, how then would he call President Mills who said he would “handover power in 2017”? Was the President having a schizophrenic or deluded dreams then; Felix?

On a personal level, I am not the least surprised about Felix Ofosu Kwakye's behaviour and how he addresses issues. This is the same Ofosu Kwakye who is so desperate to woo a lady in Europe and never stops telling her that very soon he would graduate and would be given a government appointment and he would able to provide everything for the lady.. Felix even told this lady to meet him in London this month. I have to go to this extent for my readers to know the intent behind what Felix Ofosu Kwakye says on radio and TV. If someone who is so desperate to get a position comments on issues, he would only do so to push his own personal agenda. The irony is, he does not even realise that what he told this young lady is his personal “big dream”. So Felix there's nothing wrong to dream big as long as one uses the right channel to bring the dream to reality. I end on this note and Felix and like-minded mannequins should bear this in mind: Ghanaians would rather have a confident big dreamer in the jubilee house than a passive and visionless one locked behind the gates of a former slave castle.
