GHAMSU medical students offer free medical service to Gomoa Manso

Gomoa Manso (C/R) Oct. 31, GNA-The University of Ghana, Legon Medical School branch of the Methodist Student Association of Ghana (GHAMSU), has offered free medical service to the people of Gomoa Manso.

The medical students totalling 36 screened about 250 community members on eye related and skin diseases, blooding pressure (BP), over weight, under weight and obesity.

They also evangelized the community on the theme, “We should come under the fold and see Jesus as one”.

The programme formed part of GHAMSU Annual activities which seek among other things to visit the poor communities.

Last year, the team visited Gomoa Akwamu and offered similar services to the people.

Addressing the people, Mr Ebow Amoah, leader of the team, said it was a blessing for them as students to work for the Lord in deprived communities.

He bemoaned the bad attitude of some of the youths, who engaged in drugs and other social vices.

He urged them to dress decently, since they are the future leaders.

Very Rev. Joyce Sussey Kurankye, Minister In-charge of the Wesley Methodist Church at Gomoa Manso, commended the team for their commitment and dedication to the work of God.

She urged them to intensify their evangelism to win more souls for Christ.
