Capital Rural Bank hands over prize to home bonanza winner

Sunyani (B/A) Oct. 31 GNA – Management of Capital Rural Bank in Sunyani Municipality at the weekend handed-over a two-bedroom house worth GHC 27,500 to Mr. D.K Appiah, an official of the Brong-Ahafo Regional office of the Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA), winner of the bank's annual 'My-Home Bonanza' raffle.

The three-year old raffle is open to all customers of the bank.

Messrs. Johnson Adu of Odumase and Kofi Adu of Abesim received a deep freezer and flat screen television as second and third prize winners respectively, whilst fourth-placed Ernest Asante of Penkwase took home a set of home theatre.

The fifth and sixth prizes of a table top refrigerator and a microwave went to Seth Oduro and Abiba Abubakari, respectively, whilst Philomena Asiedu took the 7th prize of a sewing machine and Zinabu Haruna going home with a blender as the eighth prize.

Other 72 customers won consolation prizes ranging from blenders, gas cylinders, rice cookers, gas stoves, traveler's bags, electrical irons, sets of bowls, rechargeable lamps, wall clocks and tee shirts.

Addressing some customers of the Bank preceding the raffle, Mr. Kwaku Damoah, Manager, said the raffle was part of the bank's social responsibility programmes designed to provide loyal customers with affordable housing.

“To qualify for the draw, the customer needs to have a fixed deposit account holder with the Bank in the sum of GHC 100 and above”, he stated.

Mr. Damoah said since its establishment in 2004, the Bank had opened branches at Abesim, its headquarters, Sunyani, Fiapre, Magazine, S. Poly and New Dormaa in the Municipality.

He said the Bank had a number of products including the mobile banking accounts and also offered very competitive interest rates and appealed to the general public especially market women and petty traders to do business with the Bank to enable them to access loans to expand their economic ventures.

Dr. Peprah Agyemang, chairman of board of directors, thanked the customers for their loyalty and assured them of excellent banking incentives in the coming years.

He advised customers to have trust and confidence in doing business with it and entreated management and staff to open up to clients in addressing their grievances and work hard to attract more customers.
