
Accra, Oct. 31, GNA - Procredit Savings and Loans Company Limited (PSLCL) on Monday launched a financial literacy campaign to educate the public on the benefits of savings as part of activities to mark World's Savings Day in Accra.
The Campaign, dubbed: “What is Your Dream,” which was also to launch two quarterly draws slated for February 2012 and May 2012 was expected to provide an opportunity for the public to save towards their dream and to win more than GH¢ 350,000 worth of prizes.
Explaining the procedure for entry into the draws to journalists at the media launch, Mr. Raymond Bismarck, Deputy General Manager of PSLCL said: “…the general public is, from today, invited to open, or in the case of current clients, maintain a savings account at any of the company's branches nationwide, and commit to depositing multiples of GH¢ 200"
"The funds must remain in their accounts of clients for a minimum of one month in order to qualify them for the draw,” he added.
Other prizes include an Executive Health Insurance cover worth GH¢150,000 for a family, a full year's educational scholarship for the winner's wards, a fully-funded business trip abroad, investment in a high-earning fixed deposit or savings accounts and other consolation prizes.
PSLCL is part of the Procredit Group, made up of 21 financial institutions operating in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa.
Since its establishment in July 2002, PSLCL has provided credit facilities to " very small", small and medium scale business entrepreneurs in the country.
