The Presiding Bishop   of the Action Faith Chapel, His Lordship  Archbishop Duncan William, has advised young and upcoming Men of God to exhibit high sense of discipline and lead lives worthy of emulations.

Bewailing what he described as the sinking image of pastors and men of God in the country, Archbishop Duncan Williams said the time had come for few genuine ones to stand up and fight, in order to protect the Kingdom of God and restore confidence back into the people.

The Archbishop gave the admonition when speaking at the first Grand Graduation and Ministerial Impactation Service of the Action Faith International Bible College and Dominion University College in Kumasi last Saturday.

Stressing that true success comes from genuine commitment to the work of God; Arch-Bishop Duncan Williams blamed the tumbling image of the pastoral duty to the quest and obsession for riches and urged the newly ordained pastors to abstain from all forms of negative actions that have the tendency to corrupt their work.

According to him, Men of God such as himself and others who command respect in the society achieved so out of their genuine commitment to the Kingdome of God, adding 'you can be like me if you work hard and remain dedicated to God'.

He reiterated that the Kingdom of God eternal and that it is better to enjoy perpetual happiness through God instead of material gains.

'I am not saying you cannot enjoy life as a Man of God but know that it is better to achieve such pleasure from God than to use any other awkward means,' he emphasised.

The Arch-Bishop further pointed out that the modern pastor requires dynamism, managerial skills to influence members, leaders and their communities, asserting that pastors who are knowledgeable, resourceful, multi-skilled and competent are able to effect the required change in their immediate communities.

The Acting Principal of the College, Rev. Dr.William K. Adu Adjei, disclosed that the college would run mainstream academic courses beginning next year to train students in marketing, communication and business alongside the theology programmes.

He said the school focuses on training leaders who can build very attractive, progressive, humanistic and healthy churches with strong and sustainable financial standings.

In all, 25 graduates were ordained having gone through various diploma courses in Theology and Church Administration, Theology and Counseling, Christian Ministry and Leadership amongst others.
