The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission will on Monday October 17, 2011 commence negotiations on a roadmap for the payment of salary arrears owed workers on government payroll.
A statement signed by the Head of Legal Services of the Commission, Augustine Ahamey, explained that the negotiations will be with the Public Services Joint Standing Negotiating Committee (PSJSNC).
The meetings, which will take place at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium, will come up with a “roadmap for the payment of all salary arrears for 2010/2011 on the Single Spine Salary Structure.”
The statement announced that invitations have already been sent to the various labour unions, associations and institutions that are parties to the negotiation.
