President John Evans Atta Mills will on Friday October 14, 2011 host an Investiture Ceremony at which deserving individuals on whom State Honours have been conferred will be decorated.
A statement signed by Deputy Minister for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, says the National Honours and Awards Ceremony will take place at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Among the forty-six distinguished persons who will be decorated on Friday are Elder statesman Harry Sawyerr, Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Joyce Bamford Addo, Professor Nana Agyewodin Adu Gyamfi Ampem and Sergeant Baiden Ebenezer Morgan. The Black Stars team that qualified to the quarter final of the World Cup and the Black Satellites team that won the World Under-20 Tournament will also be decorated.
The Investiture Ceremony will be live on Ghana Television and GBC Radio networks across the country.
