GHANA JOINS OVER 120 COUNTRIES WORLDWIDE TO CELEBRATE THE 4TH ANNUAL GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK (GEW) FROM 14TH-20TH OF NOVEMBER 2011

(Accra, Ghana ) 12 October 2011 , Youth Enhancement International (YEI), official country host for Global Entrepreneurship week in Ghana is preparing for the 4th annual Global Entrepreneurship Week celebration (GEW-Ghana).

From 14th-20th November 2011 Ghana will once again join over 120 countries to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) , a worldwide campaign dedicated to promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship in young people, raise awareness of its importance in growing economies, advancing human welfare and empowering today's youth to take action on their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs.

Global Entrepreneurship Week-Ghana 2011 will connect students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others to celebrate the power of entrepreneurship and ignite the nation's consciousness about the importance of being entrepreneurial, through a range of activities and events that will be conducted by the GEW Ghana team and its partner organizations. Thousands of activities are been planned by over 35, 000 partner organization in more than 100 countries including Ghana .

“Global Entrepreneurship Week-Ghana is part of an international celebration of entrepreneurship that inspire, connect, mentor and engage the next generation of entrepreneurs. We will overcome economic stress through our entrepreneurial skills and innovation that have become even more critical than ever before for our economic success. We must nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of our young people to ensure our nation prospers well into the future. We must encourage our young people to have the confidence, education and drive to create their own opportunities. These opportunities can be enhanced by initiatives such as Global Entrepreneurship Week, where global collaboration can open many doors for all of us.” says Stephen Gyasi-Kwaw, founder and CEO of YEI (GEW-Ghana Host ).

Last year over over 5 million people in Ghana were reached through main stream media and activities with a collectives messages on the importance of entrepreneurship in driving job creation and economic growth.

To celebrate GEW -Ghana 2011, Youth Enhancement International, proud official host of GEW in Ghana since 2008 will partner with hundreds of organizations nationwide to help champion a culture of entrepreneurship and mentoring through a wide variety of entrepreneurial activities in Ghana

Slated major national signature events for Global Entrepreneurship Week -Ghana 2011:

Mentoring Madness (14h November 2011)
This Event will bring two of Ghana's top successful entrepreneurs to share their entrepreneurial career journey and experience with aspiring and startup entrepreneurs on how they started, mistakes they made, challenges they face and how they dealt with those challenges. The event will be climaxed with a Q& A session with the Mentors and participants.

Entrepreneurs Go-to Schools (14th -20th November 2011)

The event will bring entrepreneurs from various industries into schools across the nation simultaneously to inspire, educate and mentor young people on the importance of entrepreneurship by sharing their entrepreneurial journey and experiences with young people on how they started, the mistakes they made, challenges they faced and how they dealt with those challenges. Each session will be climaxed with a Q and A session to give the young people the opportunity to interact with the entrepreneurs

Startup Weekend (18th -20th November 2011)
The startup Weekend is part of global entrepreneurship week's signature events which brings together aspiring entrepreneurs to share ideas and form teams to create business. The event inspires, educate, and empower individuals and teams to form potential sustainable high grow firms within 54 hours. The team formed within 54 hours will be given an opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.Team with best innovative idea will be awarded with cash prize and in-kind business support to turn the idea to a profitable sustainable business , their idea will also be entered into the Global Startup Bartle www.globalstartupbattle.com
