The Klagon Mantse, Nii Bortey   Klan I, has  bemoaned the level of unemployment among the youth in the country, which, according to him, has turned them into agents of trouble, especially, during election periods.

He also revealed that unemployment among our youth could also be blamed for the high level of their involvement in social vices such as armed robbery, illegal mining, sakawa, and prostitution among others.

The Klagon Mantse has, therefore, appealed to politicians to come out with policies that would help address the issue of unemployment in the country.

According to him, when such policies are put in place, our youth would spend their time profitably, which will enable them to stay away from social vices and work hard to prepare themselves for the future.

In an exclusive interview with the paper on Sunday, after a friendly football match organised by the Klagon Divisional Council for the youth of Klagon and Adjei-Kojo within the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) to foster unity among the two towns, Nii Klagon advised the youth in the country to remain focused, and resist the temptation of being lured into trouble-making ventures.

He explained that as future leaders waiting to take up the mantle of leadership in the country, they should rather involve themselves in productive activities that would prepare them as responsible leaders for tomorrow.

At the end of the grueling 90 minutes soccer rivalry between the neighbouring towns, Klagon Stars scored the only one goal that separated the two sides, leaving the visiting team, Adjei Kodjo 11, returning home empty-handed.
