No NPP member will be arrested for smuggling drugs – Sir John

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kojo Owusu Afriye popularly known as “Sir John” is confident that no member in the NPP will be arrested for smuggling drugs.

Speaking on Asempa Fm's Ekosii Sen on Wednesday, Mr. Owusu Afriyie asserted that the amount of cocaine trafficked into the country has increased tremendously under the Mills' government.

He claimed to have in his possession an intelligence report that the ruling NDC is plotting to plant cocaine in the luggage of the NPP leaders. Sir John who said he had no reason to doubt the credibility of the information refused to reveal his source.

The NPP scribe however warned members of the NPP to be extremely careful whenever they decide to travel abroad because any information he received was factual and he believed will happen.

He said already the NDC had referred to the NPP as a cocaine party and therefore urged the leaders of the party to thoroughly watch the checks conducted on them by the Immigration Officers at the Airport.

He alleged that in recent times all those arrested for smuggling drugs by NACOB are NDC members so the NDC are also plotting to put NPP in the same situation.
