MUSLIMS LADIES DONATE TO NSAWAM INMATES

The An-Nisaa Foundation has donated bags of gari, sugar, medicine, loaves of bread, and assort biscuit worth GH¢5, OOO cedis to the Nsawam medium prison on Saturday.

An-Nisaa is an association of Muslim women that focuses on mentoring the youth and assisting the under privileged in the society.

The items include bags of gari, sugar; loaves of bread assort biscuits and medicine which were facilitated by Tobinco pharmacy, Kinapharma, Hills Pharmacy, baseline pharmacy, Add pharmacy and Induc Pharmacy.

Presenting the items to the inmates, Hajia Rashida Gbadamosi, the Vice-president of the foundation said the gesture to support the inmates form part of the Muslim ladies social responsibility to support the inmates.

She said they donate annually to the inmate of the Nsawam medium prison during the month of Ramadan which they use to show love to people and the less privilege.

The Iman in-charge of the Muslims in prison Assistant Superintendent of Prison (ASP) Mohammed Mukhtar Adam who received the items on behalf of the inmates expressed his profound gratitude to the Muslim ladies for donating the items especially the medicine.

ASP Mohammed Mukhtar called on other corporate organizations and individuals to emulate them.
