
Gruppo Dani celebrated their 61st anniversary on the 9th of july with a great banquet at the prestigious restaurant della Campagna at Trissino(vicenza).
The over 500 workers of Gruppo dani all came for the celebrations with special guests of honor Hon.Charles Baah(Vice ambassador of the republic of Ghana) and Mr.Simon Atieku(First secretary, political and economic affairs).
The company was started in the early 1950's by Mr.Angelo Dani who worked tiredlessly in shaping the company and in 1970 handed over the day to day running of the company to his sons,who have
turned the company around to become one of the best leather producing companies in the world.
Gruppo Dani produces the finest,top class,quality leather for upholstery,automotive,aviation,yachting,garments,footwear and leather goods.
Adrressing his employees,the Ceo(Mr.Giancarlo Dani) thanked his Dad who toiled so much in making Gruppo Dani what it is today.He also thanked the entire staff of gruppo Dani for their hard work and urged them to continue to work harder to make gruppo Dani the number one leather producing company in the world.He added abit of sarcasm to his speech when he said that the only time he gets mad is when the month has ended and he is about to sign the paychecks to the applause and cheers of everyone.
Honourable Charles Baah in his remarks thanked the director general for his invitation and congratulated gruppo Dani for 61 years of great achievement.He said 61 years in the life of a company is one of the greatest achievements in the world of industries and the management as well as the entire staff deserve commendation.He further expressed his appreciation on behalf of Her Excellency Ambassador Anita Stokes Hayford,the entire staff of the Ghana embassy and the entire Ghanaian community to the company for employing our Ghanaian brothers and sisters who are known to be hardworking.
And to his fellow Ghanaians and the entire staff of the company,he urged them to be disciplined,law abiding and continue to give their maximum to the growth of the company.
Awards were giving to long term serving staff of which our sister Nana Yaa was awarded as the longest serving black in the company with 21 years of hard work.
This multi ethnic company with workers from(Italy,Ghana,Senegal,Burkina faso,Brazil,Argentina,Morocco,Albania,Russia,Romania,China and USA) was last month adjudged as one of the most innovative companies in Italy with a special award in Rome by His Excellency President Giorgio Napolitano.
On behalf of the entire Ghanaian community in Italy,we wish Gruppo Dani a happy 61st anniversary and a prosperous years ahead.

Life in italy is very very hard,i myself work in the conceria and i can honestly tell you that it is a very dangerous job.Before i heard that it was one of the highest paid jobs because of the risks involved,but when the italians stopped and they started employing foreigners,they changed totally and a job as risky as conceria is less paid jobs around now,whereas the white who still work at the conceria doing absolutely nothing but commanding are paid big bucks.Imagine working 9 to 10 hours daily...
