
Cape Coast, June 29, GNA – The First National Bank, on Tuesday donated GH¢ 5,000 cheque and a cash of GH¢ 1, 000 to the Elmina Traditional Council to aid in this year's celebration of the Edina Bakatue Festival.
Mr Bright Edem Drofenu, Central Regional Manager of the Bank, said as the main sponsors of the festival they would seek to place appropriate measures to ensure a successful celebration.
Nana Kodwo Condua VI, Omanhene of the Edina Traditional Council commended the bank for their support and advised employees of the bank to exercise due diligence in the conduct of their duties.
He appealed to the bank to make credit facilities accessible and flexible to fishermen to help improve their living conditions adding that the community depended on fishing.
