
Bawku (U/E), June 1, GNA – At least 500 people in the Bawku Municipality and its environs have been rendered homeless by a storm that hit the municipality and its environs.
More than 750 houses including schools had their roofs ripped off in 49 communities including Natinga, Bazua, Sabongari, Gengande and Kulungungu.
Mr. Musah Sulemana, the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Coordinator, told the GNA that his outfit was doing all it could to assist the victims.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Abduliah Musah, said the Assembly had procured about roofing sheets and other relief items to support the victims.
