Like the Biblical prodigal son, ex-Kumasi Asante Kotoko and All Blacks forward, Baba Adamu Armando is asking for forgiveness from those he offended in the past.

In an emotional re-launch of his career at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Secretariat yesterday, the player stated that: 'In the course of my career, I might have in one way or the other offended some football fans, the media, club officials and Ghanaians as a whole through my remarks or gestures.

'I take this opportunity to say I am deeply sorry and ask for forgiveness and promise it will not happen again. Please point out my mistakes and criticize me when I go wrong,' he added remorsefully.

The former Sakaryaspor (Turkey) player is in the country to re-launch his career with a local club. He however kept details of the club he wants to play for to his chest, but stated that it is neither Hearts nor Kotoko.

'I want to prove that there is still plenty of football in me and very soon Ghana will be shocked to witness my dexterity,' Armando added.

Commenting on how far he wants to travel in the next few years, he mentioned that the sky has always been his limit, promising to excel.

He attributed what nearly marred his brilliant career to bad agents and frequent change of clubs.

And for the next two months, he will be closely monitored by a technical expert as he puts his house in order for the challenge ahead.

Nicknamed Diego, Amando played for clubs like Lokomotiv Moskva, Al-Shabab, FC Rostselmash, FC Dinamo Minsk (Belarus), among others.
