Reported cases of H1N1 influenza, also known as swine flu, keeps increasing at the Achimota Hospital in Accra.

Hospital authorities say they have five more new cases bringing the number of reported cases to 18 since the disease broke out again last week.

Disease Control Officer at the Achimota Hospital Michael Alexander Garr, who disclosed this to Asempa News said 11 of the cases were from the St John's Grammar Senior High School.

The rest are from areas such as Abeka Lapaz, Alogboshie, Achimota and Tesano.

Mr. Garr said that the patients have been treated and discharged to their various houses.

Mr. Garr says the Achimota hospital in collaboration with the Ga West District Health Directorate will soon fumigate the St John's Grammar Senior High School.
