A statement issued in Accra by Mr Stanley Martey, Communications Manager said the Weija Treatment Plant would also be shutdown on Thursday, March 17 from 6am to 6pm, due to a planned power outage from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
It said this would severely affect water supply to Tema and the eastern parts of Accra on Tuesday and in the western parts of Accra on Thursday.
The statement, therefore, advised customers to store water ahead of the shutdown and any inconvenience caused was deeply regretted.
"Customers are advised to text any enquiries and complaints to 1700 from any network throughout the country or call Toll free on 0800 40000 and 0302 211 260," it added.
