Blue Financial Services Launched

Blue Financial Services Limited, a Pan-African micro-finance company, has officially opened its office in Accra, Ghana.

The company is poised to offer its customers with well tailored products and services like home improvement loan, short-term loan, home loan, personal loan, mobile loan, Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprise (SMME) loan, CashXpress (cash in 20 minutes) and insurance products.

Launching the company, a Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Fiifi Kwetey stated that the non-bank financial industry has contributed immensely to the development of the economy.

He said apart from the fact that the non-financial sector provides employment opportunities and financial security to businesses and families it has also been a reliable partner for national development.

He noted that the emergence of Blue Financial Service on the Ghanaian financial market is evidence that government's efforts to reform the financial sector was delivering results.

'It is also an indication of confidence in the stability of the economic and political environment,' he added.

Mr. Kwetey appealed to the company to list and effectively trade on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) as they are currently listed on the Johannesburg and the Botswana Stock Exchanges.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Johan Meiring noted that 'as a company that believes in people and their potential, our core values are determined by the way in which we behave towards each other, our colleagues, our customers, our suppliers and the communities we serve.'

He said each of the company's staff members has been trained and motivated to provide customers with the right tools and advice to help them achieve their goals.

'Whatever their needs, questions or concerns, we're dedicated to providing first-class customer care and one-on-one service for complete peace of mind,' he emphasised.

Blue Financial Services, which was established in 2001, operates in 12 African countries with 220 branches.
