NIIT is the Best Information Technology School in Ghana

NIIT was awarded the best Information Technology School in Ghana on 29th October during the 3rd TNG Corporate Merit Awards – 2010 at a function held at Holiday Holiday Inn in Accra.

NIIT was given the Top Honours for its unparalleled contribution to the development of ICT education in Ghana and preparing Ghana as the most preferred ICT Hub for the West African Sub-region.

Receiving the award, Mr. Kapil Gupta, Managing Director NIIT Ghana expressed his sincere gratitude to the Awards Committee of 'The New Ghanaian Corporate Merit Awards 2010' for appreciating the unique work out in by NIIT in promoting ICT education in Ghana. It is noteworthy that NIIT has established alliances with Microsoft, CISCO, Adobe , Oracle and Sun Microsystems (now merged with Oracle Corporation) for Ghana. NIIT Ghana also has world-class testing facilities in collaboration with Prometric and Person VUE.

Awards like these, organized by progressive Ghanaian media houses, is a true testimony of NIIT's achievement and reflects a true performance of a corporate/individual from the Ghanaian viewpoint. It is noteworthy that NIIT Ghana was adjudged 2nd most Socially Responsible company by GIPC for the year 2005. It has also been listed in the prestigious GIPC Top 100 companies for the last three years, the only ICT Education company to do so in Ghana.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Dee Otibu-Asare Editor-In-Chief of TNG emphasized on the need of honoring corporate and individuals who made extraordinary contribution in their field and impacted the Ghanaian economy and the live of ordinary Ghanaians alike.

Other dignitaries present at the event were the Volta Regional Minister, Joseph Amenowode, Minister of Health, Benjamin Kunbuor and Central Regional Minister, Ama Benyiwa Doe.
Other awardees included Melcom Ghana, a leading supermarket chain.
