'Our heritage is what is in our past; our hope is what is in our future. We salute all who worked tirelessly on the session, from its inception to date, and the joy of all members whose labour we now see as the edifice of the Asokore Resurrection Presbyterian Church,' declared the District Pastor of the church

Preaching on the theme 'Have Faith in the Lord' during the 25th Anniversary celebration of the church, the Head Pastor bemoaned how Christians had relegated the teachings of Christ to the background, and adopting lifestyles that pleases them.

He has, therefore, called on Christians to rediscover the characteristics of Christ, in order to live lives worth emulating, to the glory of God.

Giving brief history of the church, the Pastor narrated how the church started from humble beginnings in a make-shift shed as a temporal worshiping centre, but the shed could not withstand force of a fierce rainstorm and collapsed.

He explained that like any infant church, a place of worship was a problem to grapple with initially, but the membership continued from one of the classrooms of the Asokore Local Authority (L/A) Junior High School, and was later relocated to the Methodist Primary and Roman Catholic Primary School, all at Asokore.

According to him, the desire of members to find a convenient and easily accessible place of worship, as well as remove the inconvenience of trekking to Effiduase and Koforidua for the gratification of their individual and collective spiritual needs, brought about the need to establish the Asokore branch.

The church can boast of a few developmental projects such as the construction of an over 500-capacity church auditorium and pre-school unit block among others.
