Kumasi, Sept. 29, GNA - Dr Mohammed Abdul Kabir Bala, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for the Asawase Constituency in the 2008 elections, has bemoaned the poor infrastructural facilities in the area.

He said Asawase, which is in the heart of Kumasi, could not boast of any modern infrastructural facility due to lack of vision and poor political leadership.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Kumasi on Wednesday, Dr Bala said, he would contest the parliamentary seat again on the ticket of the NPP in 2012 to provide the required leadership and the needed facilities to improve the living conditions of the people.

He explained that the electorate have tested the NDC Member of Parliament (MP) and have made their own judgment, adding that most of them have lost trust and were yearning for a speedy change to ensure that the right person was elected to lead the people.

Dr Bala, who is also a lecturer at the College of Science of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), said the NPP was working hard to design strategies to win more voters in the 2012 elections.

He, therefore, appealed to supporters of the party to intensify their house-to-house campaigns to win more souls for the party.
