OLAM GHANA Limited has presented 100 students' beds to the Dunkwa Health Assistants Training School (HATS), in response to a request by the school.

Presenting the beds at a colourful ceremony at Dunkwa, the Head of Cocoa at Olam, Mr. Eric A. Botwe, expressed his outfit's commitment towards its social responsibilities.

He lauded Dunkwa's contribution to the country's cocoa industry, and said the area, which had been the headquarters of the western south cocoa region, had over the past ten years been producing 27 per cent of Ghana's cocoa.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Upper Denkyira East, Mr. Peter Kofi Owusu Ashia, commended the management of Olam for the continuous support towards the development of the area.

The Principal of the Dunkwa Health Assistants Training School, Mr. David Benjamin Sampson, enumerated a number of challenges facing the school, including accommodation for teachers, and lack of infrastructure development.

Present at the function included Mr. Kennedy Ntoso, Olam's Western South-Coordinator, and Nana Anyimadu Okofo IV, Acting President of the Denkyira Traditional Council.
