rLG Communications, an outstanding indigenous Information Communication Technology (ICT) company is set to operate in The Gambian as part of the ICT module of the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP).

The company is collaborating with the Gambian Government to replicate developmental ideas in ICT this year to enhance skills development, job creation and national development.

The move is a partnership between rLG, Unique Solutions Company Limited, The Gambia and The Gambia Priority Employment Programme (GAMJOBS).

rLG is expected to train several Gambian youth in assembling mobile phones as well as electronics and computing.

Some employees of rLG would visit The Gambia soon to commence the training programme, which would help the company to reach markets of West Africa and the African continent.

“It is our aim to get to every market. We are ready to feed the world with our products.”

rLG has a long list of programmes and promotions for its customers this year and Millicent Atuguba, Communications Manager, has urged Ghanaians to contribute to the cause of local entrepreneurship by patronizing rLG phones.

rLG is the leading ICT company providing affordable and exquisite mobile phones, as well as other technology-related devices.

These include dual SIM card capable phones replete with MP3, MP4, video camera, Bluetooth and video recording capabilities. Established in March 2001, rLG Communications is the first company in sub-Saharan Africa to assemble mobile handsets.
