Some landlords have taken advantage of the proximity of their buildings to the Sunyani Polytechnic to double rents of students who have hired their premises.
Others have also turned unapproved structures into bedrooms and hostels for students without basic sanitary facilities.
Dr. Kwasi Nsiah-Gyabaah, Principal of Sunyani Polytechnic, disclosed these at this year’s matriculation at Sunyani.
