Transport Minister Mike Hammah has ordered immediate investigations into yesterday's train crash on the Graphic road here in Accra.
An Nsawam-bound train rammed into a Metro Mass Transit bus which was stuck in traffic on the Graphic road rail crossing just at the time the train was passing by.
The driver of the bus, described by passengers as a hero, sustained serious head injuries and other lacerations.
Eye witnesses blame the accident on the negligence of the traffic warden at the rail crossing.
Transport Minister Mike Hammah, who was at the scene of the accident, told Joy News he would ensure the accident is thoroughly investigated.
“As soon as possible, we need to get to the bottom of this matter so that we will forestall the reoccurrence of [such an accident],” he said.
