Bolgatanga, March 30, GNA - The Northern Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has inducted three Project Coordinators of Primary Healthcare into office.
They are to coordinate and supervise the delivery of primary health care administered by the Church in the three Northern Regions.
The Project Coordinators are Madam Beatrice Atiyoro, Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, Madam Doris Teni Awini, Bawku, Upper East and Madam Florence Abena Nsiah, Salaga, Northern Region.
The officiating minister , Reverend Dr Martin Bugre Nabor who inducted the project coordinators into office challenged them to be loyal just as Christ was in discharging their duties, and noted that the social services the Church was running was part of the religious duties.
He explained that apart from the gospel duties, Christ also cured people who were sick, and that was why they should emulate him.
The General Manager of Primary Health Care of the Northern Presbytery, Mr. John Abugre assured the new officer that they would be given the necessary assistance and encouragement to perform their activities.
He said the vision of the health unit was to get to the highest level in delivering the best services to customers.
He indicated that the Northern Presbytery Primary Health Care Unit operated according to the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Presbyterian Church principles, and said his outfit had to partner the MOH in the Region in diverse ways in providing quality healthcare to the people.
Madam Atiyoro on behalf of her colleagues thanked the members for entrusting them with such responsibilities and pledged to work hard.
