Ghana Home Loans (GHL) Limited, the leading provider of mortgage financing in Ghana, has donated items worth $60,000 to the Survey Department in Accra.
The items, which included two sets of state-of-the-art Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and its related accessories and two pentium (IV) desktop computers installed with surveying software, would improve the operations of the department.
Presenting the items, the Chief Operating Officer, Kojo Addo-Kufuor and Ellis Atekpe, Executive Director of GHL, said the items would enable the department to shorten the turn-around time for processing clients' requests.
The officials commended the Survey Department for the role it plays in the registration of landed property, which was crucial to the operations of GHL.
“We also understand the difficulties the department faces in terms of insufficient logistics and hope that this donation will improve delivery of the services,” they added.
They however expressed the hope that the items would be put to maximum use to enhance delivery of services.
The former head of the Survey Department, Emmanuel Mohenu, who received the items on behalf of his outfit, thanked the GHL and assured them that the items would be put to good use.
GHL, which is a mortgage specialist, provides wide range of long-term mortgage products for existing and prospective homeowners.
