….Destroys girl 17's hymen
Richard Asare, the Assemblyman for Mampong Akyremade Electoral Area in the Ashanti Mampong District of the Ashanti Region, is in the grips of the Mampong Divisional Police, for allegedly inserting his fingers into the vagina of a 17-year-old Senior High School student.

According to reports, Richard Asare, also known as Apicom, inserted his finger several times into the vagina of the young girl leading to the tearing of the victim's hymen.

Medical reports by the Mampong Municipal Hospital after tests were conducted on the victim showed that the 17-year-old girl was fingered several times which led to the tearing of her hymen.

Mr Asare is alleged to also have fondled and played with the breasts of the 17-year-old student.

He was arrested on December 24 last year after having absconded from the area when he had wind that a report of his wicked act had been reported to the Mampong Divisional Police.

Meanwhile TODAY's investigations in and around the vicinity have uncovered discreet and staid attempts by some strong hands to let the Divisional Commander leave the case and let the suspect go free.

Narrating what happened to TODAY, a deep throat source at the Mampong Divisional Police said the victim (name withheld) used to stay with the suspect in the same vicinity and therefore knew him very well.

The victim, according to the source, was looking for a vehicle to go home when the Assemblyman pulled over from a taxi cab he was driving and offered her lift to her home.

He said when they got to Mensah Saahene School which is in the same neighbourhood where the victim resides, Mr Asare asked her to wait in the car while he picked something from home.

“When he returned he took another route towards the Ejura road but stopped somewhere, rolled up all the glasses and started fondling some parts of the young girl and inserted his fingers into her vagina and bled later because she was a virgin,” the source recounted.

The source told TODAY that the young girl who tried several times to stop the Assemblyman from what he was doing became unsuccessful as she was forcibly taken by Mr Asare to another place and sexually molested by him.

The source noted that after several struggling with the Assemblyman, the young girl managed to free herself and ran home.

When she arrived home, our source continued, the victim could not tell her parents of her ordeal with the Assemblyman, but the parents later realised a change in her walking and confronted her, “and that was when she told them everything that the Honourable had done to her,” the source added….
