Man of God invokes divine blessing on Oman Ghana

  Fri, 18 Dec 2009

Accra, Dec. 18, GNA- Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian International Evangelist, on

Thursday invoked the blessings of the Lord to keep Ghana united and offer the authorities

wisdom and knowledge to administer the country.
"I take this opportunity to thank God for His prophecies and promises and faithfulness to

this nation. I pray that the spirit of unity of purpose would forever be the portion of Oman

Ghana.
"I commit the President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, his Vice, John Dramani

Mahama, the Ministers, the Judiciary, members of Parliament and indeed all the organs of

State into the Hands of the Almighty God.
"I pray for divine wisdom, knowledge, humility and understanding for all those in

positions of trust and responsibility, including our hardworking farmers, fishermen and all

workers, for strength and good health."
Dr Tetteh was speaking at the Nine Lessons and Carols Night Service of Ghana

Broadcasting Corporation in Accra to usher in Christmas.

He asked the Lord to give the political leadership a deep spiritual discernment to know His

plans and purposes concerning the nation and to grant them the courage, wisdom and

humility to pursue them.
"I also pray that all political parties will have a common vision and agenda for the good

and prosperity of our dear nation Love and mutual respect for each other should guide and

direct us in all our endeavours to advance the cause of national development and unity for a

better Ghana."
Dr Tetteh said God should grant the leadership of the church the spirit of truth and

boldness to speak the mind of God and do His will.
"I pray that those who have been entrusted with leadership must do so with the fear of the

Lord. For the word of God says, if my people who are called by My Name will humble

themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear them and heal their Land."

Dr Tetteh said the significance of the service was the demonstration of the love and

mercy of God to His lost children by physically coming to visit fallen man and restore peace

and glory to him.
He noted that Christmas is the greatest day on earth. The day of peace and goodwill to

man.
"This programme is not only an opportunity to praise God in songs but an occasion for

sober reflections and to count our blessings. As you may recall, a year ago, around this same

time, a dark cloud descended upon this nation which nearly threatened the peace and unity of

this nation following the first round of the national elections."
