
London, South Africa, 8 December 2009: Africa investor (Ai), a leading international investment research and communications group,today announced that its annual Analysts & Fund Managers Forum and Financial Reporting Awards will be held in association with Bloomberg, the fastest-growing real-time financial information network in the world. The Forum will take place on 12-13 April 2010 at the Bloomberg Head Office in London.
The Ai Analysts and Fund Managers Forum is a unique networking platform for CEOs from African listed companies to engage fund managers, analysts and the financial media. The Forum will bring together leading representatives from African Stock Exchanges, as well as investor relations officers, thus supplying critical information to the investment community. The Forum is a two-day, invitation-only event, comprising dynamic interactive sessions moderated by leading financial editors covering Africa.
Commenting on the Forum, Hubert Danso, vice-chairman and managing director at Africa investor, said “We are delighted to again have the opportunity to convene not only the leading emerging market and Africa fund managers to meet with leading African listed companies, but this year to also bring the pension funds and sovereign wealth funds investing in Africa”.
The Africa investor Financial Reporting Awards will be presented at a cocktail ceremony on the evening of the Forum. The Ai Financial Reporting Awards will reward achievements reporting across Africa's main income-generating sectors as well as the personalities improving the continent's financial communication procedures.
There will also be a post-Forum Investor Relations Master Class, held in association with the IR Global League. The workshop is dedicated to investor relations officers and chief financial officers seeking to engage international investors.
