
NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC Congress (NDC) Deputy Northern Regional Youth Organizer, Mohammed Amin has been elected Regional Youth Organizer of the party at its youth congress held in Tamale. Mr. Abio polled 56 votes beating his contender Mohammed Aboagye who polled 9 out of the total valid votes cast.
In his acceptance speech he commended delegates for reposing confidence in him and voting him as the Regional Youth Organizer promising to be a team player.
He also assured them of collaboration with all constituency youth organizers to propel the party to a higher level. He further promised to work hand in hand with his opponent indicating that his contributions are welcome.
His election would regenerate a new image for NDC youth in the region aimed at marshalling a greater following to double the party's fortunes in future elections with emphasis on creating the enabling environment for the youth of the country, he noted.
He disclosed that plans were underway to constitute youth working committees in all party constituencies in the region to coordinate with the regional secretariat in resolving teething problems.
