Accra, Nov. 9, GNA - Nii Nikoi Jonas, Chief of Nkkwantanang, near Madina in the
Greater Accra Region, has called on the people to bury their differences and work together to
ensure the development of the community.
He said it was only through unity of purpose and the zeal to put in little efforts that a
community could develop.
Nii Jonas made the call at a meeting with his elders at Nkwantanang on Sunday to find
solutions to problems the town was facing.
He said a number of development projects such as the provision of police posts, street-
lights and the formation of watch-dog committees had been earmarked to give the town a
face-lift.
Nii Jonas expressed worry about encroachment on lands earmarked for developmental
projects.
He advised estate developers to desist from building at unauthorized places since the
authorities would not spare them when caught.
Nii Jonas appealed to the Ga East Municipal Assembly to assist the community in the
provision of social amenities.
