Ivorian President visits Nkrumah Park

The visiting Ivorian President, Laurent Gbagbo, this on Tuesday visited the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to lay a wreath in honour of Ghana's First President for his selflessness in the liberation struggle of the African Continent.  

President Gbagbo who was accompanied by Vice President John Mahama, also visited the Museum and later signed the visitor's book.  

Interacting with the media after the tour of the park, Mr. Gbagbo said it is important that Nkrumah's vision is adopted by African leaders to save the millions who are trapped in the shackles of poverty.  

Vice President John Mahama said bilateral discussions between President Mills and the Ivorian President will explore ways by which the two countries can break new economic grounds.
