Ex-Convict Arrested for Stealing Phones

Hohoe, Oct 28, GNA - Michael Sesi, an ex-convict, has been arrested by the Hohoe police for stealing mobile phones and recharge cards in Hohoe.

Sesi broke into a mobile phone shop and stole three MTN promotional phones and two packets of recharge cards worth GHc 189.

Mr Daniel Ablordey, Hohoe District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that Sesi, wielding a metal head of a pick-axe, broke into the shop but was spotted by security men on duty in the area.

He said the suspect was pursued but he escaped. He was later arrested and a search conducted in his room revealed the items. Other items found in the room 22 packets of nails and five packets of security locks.
