The 2008 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has sent a message of congratulation to the newly elected officers of the UK & Ireland branch of the NPP.
In a statement, Nana Akufo-Addo said “this is to congratulate you on your election as officers of our great party, to serve in diverse ways to ensure that our party wins the votes of the great majority of Ghanaians in 2012. This election shows the level of trust and confidence that the party reposes in you whilst recognizing your commitment, loyalty and service to the cause of our party.”
Nana Akufo-Addo adds that “looking into the future, I am fully confident of the hard work and dedication that your team will provide to our party, to ensure the effectiveness of our grass roots mobilization for the 2012 general election”.
He also congratulated the outgoing officers for their “productive service and commitment to the cause of the party over the years, and asked them to, in the true spirit of our party's tradition, unite behind the newly elected executives to ensure a harmonious functioning of the party.”
He ends his message by wishing the outgoing and newly elected officers well in all their endeavors in the years to come.
