The 2008 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sent a goodwill message to the UK & Ireland branch of the NPP as they prepare to hold executive elections this weekend.
In his message, Nana Akufo-Addo says, “strengthening the effective organisation of our party, home and abroad, is crucial to our efforts to winning back the confidence of the great majority of Ghanaians in 2012. It is for this reason that I join many others in wishing you well in your impending elections, with the hope that you will prove once more to the world why our party is the pacesetter for democracy in Africa”.
He adds, “We, here in Ghana, have no doubt that you will conduct a free and fair election, devoid of any misconduct. We are confident that when all is cast and counted the best people will emerge victorious and take to the next level the proactive tradition of engagement in Ghanaian politics that your international branch always provides enrichly."
His message continues, “In particular, we acknowledge with gratitude the contributions made by your branch to the 2009 constitutional amendment exercise of the Party.”
