The Volta River Authority has presented three packets of roofing sheets to the local Nureya Islamic School in support of the re-roofing of the school.
The four class room block had its roof ripped off following a severe rain storm which hit Akosombo and its environs some months ago.
The town manager of the VRA Mieaster noted that, VRA is concerned about the education of every child in the country and will therefore not shirk its responsibility to go to the aid of the needy.
Mr. Afriyie, also told the residents the need to plant trees around the school to serve as wind breaks. He urged them to send their children to school.
On sanitation he said, Akosombo is noted for its environmental cleanliness and green vegetation and therefore appealed to them to help maintain it.
