A Ghanaian born Nana Amoako, a lawyer is standing for the governitorial elections in Minnesota a Mid West State in North America. The influx of Ghanaians and other African Natives in the Minnesota has increased over 1000% in the last ten years. This is due to the nice reception and opportunities that abound in the State. If Nana should win he becomes the first Native Ghanaian to become the Head of a State in the United States of America. Nana was born and raised in Kumasi, Ghana. He received a BS (cum laude) degree in Business Administration in 1977 from the College of Charleston, South Carolina, and obtained an MBA (Finance) Degree from the University of Akron, Ohio, in 1980. He received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C. in 1986. Nana worked as a corporate attorney with Northwestern National Life Insurance Company (NWNL) in Minneapolis from 1986 to 1988 and has been a private attorney since leaving NWNL.
