Exiled journalist Jahangir Alam Akash urges to Jewish journalist Dr.
Richard Benkin to be impartial
In a recent appeal exiled journalist Jahangir Alam Akash demanded to
Jewish Journalist Dr.Richrad Benkin to be impartial. The Bangladeshi
controversial news paper the weekly blitz reports a threat by Akash
previously. In a mail Akash urged to Dr. Richard Benkin “Since my
college life I have been fighting against all kinds of odds works like
Islamic militancy, terrorism, corruption, any kinds of torture,
repression, especially minority and indigenous torture and state
torture like extra judicial killings. I think you have done some
mistake about my activity. Never am I having support Zahadis group,
like Laden, Bangla bhai and others which you wrote me. And only for my
impartial professional worked I was suffered seriously. I hope, one
day peace will come through over the world. Still I have been giving
hard and lots of price with my whole families. I want to request you
from my heart, please should be impartial. I think, human rights are
not for groups, personal. Human rights have always for all and equal.
I want peace and happiness everywhere in the world.”
In a quick response Dr. Richard Benkin said “I am surprised you have
not responded to my last email. I have to take that to mean you have
no explanation for your attack on me.The story is true; I have the
evidence of it, but perhaps you did this thing because someone
influenced you to do so; and it does not reflect your true beliefs.
Is this correct?”
