Tema, July 31, GNA - The Tema Circuit Court 'A' presided over by Mrs Lorinda Owusu on Thursday sentenced a bus driver to a fine of GH¢ 600, for careless driving.
Rexford Owusu would serve six months imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine. He pleaded guilty to two counts of careless and inconsiderate driving.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Mary Assunta told the court that on June 16 Owusu, who was driving a Hyundai bus with passengers on board from the harbour roundabout towards the steel works road, did so without caution.
On reaching a spot at the Mankoadze Roundabout the convict, without due care and attention, ran into another vehicle being driven by one Mr Alex Atso-Darko.
Mr Atso-Darko made a report to the Tema Community One Police and Owusu was arrested and charged with the offence.
