NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
Child prostitutes are reported to have swarmed the streets of Elmina and Cape Coast ahead of the visit of US President Barack Obama.
According to Joy Correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko, the prostitutes are gearing up for mass 'harvest' as the Region hosts the US President and a host of other tourists.
The prostitutes are said to be within the ages of 13-18 years.
Whilst some of the prostitutes are school drop-outs, others Kojo Nyarko observed are still in school and need to make money for their upkeep.
Araba, one of the prostitutes, in an interview said she was forced into the business two years ago due to harsh economic conditions she was going through.
On a normal night she makes at least GH¢ 30.00 but that is expected to increase with the coming of the US President and the PANAFEST celebration days after the visit.
She admitted the work is dangerous especially with the threat of HIV AIDS, 'but man, or rather woman' must survive.
The prostitutes allegedly charge as low as GH¢ 5.00 and as high as GH¢ 30.00 'per stand'.
When condoms are not used by clients, the lowest charge is GH¢ 10.00.

Nathan, this article does not belong on any website. I hate to retort your articles validity, but you are the biggest hipocrite at the moment. Are you saying Ghana is clean of evils that befall or forms of society and somehow we are saints in Ghana? Please excuse yourself and give us a break from your autocratic ideologies that bear no merit with the hardworking everyday Ghanaian that frequent these young ladies. After a hard days work on the farm or whatever, if a piece of ass is the only thing that will keep our economy moving, then so be it. But don't lecture these girls for trying to survive. Get your ass out there and find credible topics to talk about.

Who in their right mind built his house for the enjoyment of foreigners (tourism)? Are we still slaves to cater for satisfaction of foreigners?
Was France, Britain, America, INDIA and CHINA built on tourism?
Look at countries built on tourism and tell me their plight - GAMBIA, JAMAICA, KENYA, ANTIGA, BAHAMAS, ALGERIA, VIETNAM and Saint Lucia.
With these countries, the airline companies, Hotel owners and tour companies are the gainers. Most of the companies are own by the foreigners and the citizens end up begging the invaders.
AID as it is called today is the same as FOREIGN EXCHANGE. There's no such a thing a (charitable)AID. Always know that it is FOREIGN EXCHANGE.
If AID (charity) is right for countries. Why doesn't America put an end to their INDUSTRIES and live on AID (CHARITY)?
