King Tackie Tawiah III was installed as the Ga Mantse in June 2006 and immediately made it a priority to ensure the unity and development of the Ga Traditional area. His focus is also to rebrand and transform the city of Accra through sustainable development initiatives and strategic partnerships in the fields of health, education, infrastructure and culture.
His Royal Highness, the Ga Mantse said, “The Greater Accra Region is the seat of Government of the Republic of Ghana. We have a unique heritage to develop ourselves, our people, culture, environment and resources for the future generations to come. ….. Accra is the backbone and the gateway to Ghana, we must all work together to ensure unity and progress”
Mr. Charles Safo, Global Coordinator of the King Tackie Tawiah Foundation emphasises that “the King's vision is not for Ga people alone but will benefit everyone who has a connection in Accra and wishes to live, work or invest there now or anytime in the future. We have reached out to many organisations abroad who now share the King's vision and soon we will see practical examples of projects in key areas being implemented in the pursuance of our goals.”
There will be a series of events planned in 2009 including an inauguration gala dinner and other fund raising events.

The contribution by that tackie proves he is ingnorant, st***d and very disrespectful. How many years did it take the Asantehene and the Ashanti Kingdon to have his/their Education Fund established?Ga Educational Endowment Fund has been around for years, Ga Mantse has made it ven better with more companies in Ghana Funding it.
Please tackie for goodness sake shut up and let prosperity prevail in the Ga State.
We welcome all true Ga's to rally behind the King's effort to help our people
