Winneba(CR), April 30, GNA — The management of Winneba branch of Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) on Thursday presented a cheque for GH¢1,000 to the Effutu Traditional Council towards the celebration of this year's Aboakyer Festival.
Presenting the cheque Mr Edward Quaynor, Winneba Branch Manager, said it was to strengthen the existing good relationship between the bank and the people.
Neenyi Ghartey VII, Omanhene of Effutu Traditional Area and President of Effutu Traditional Council, who received the cheque thanked the management for their kind gesture.
He urged the management to speed up efforts to establish a branch North Campus of University of Education, Winneba to save students from travelling long distances to the main branch to transact business.
Neenyi Ghartey commended the management for expanding facilities at the main branch to accommodate more customers at a time.
