A delegation of the Association of chiefs from the Ga District led by Amasaman Mantse, Nii Amasah Oseiku II met with the Asere Traditional Council of Chief and Elders and the four ruling houses of the Ga Paramount stool at the Asere Mantse palace, Kaneshie in Accra on Tuesday 2nd December, 2008.

The delegation wanted to find out from the four ruling houses of the Ga paramount stool whether there can be any out of court settlement of the Ga Paramount stool chieftancy dispute involving Dr. Joe Blankson.

The four ruling houses of the Ga Paramount stool and the Asere Traditional council of chiefs and elders rejected any possible out of court settlement of the chieftancy dispute.

The meeting stressed that Dr. Joe Blankson was not customarily nominated, elected and installed as Ga Mantse and he is therefore not recognised by the four ruling houses of the Ga Paramount stool the Asere council and the Ga people as Ga Mantse.

The meeting called on the Greater Accra Regional house of chiefs to continue hearing of the petition on the Ga paramount chieftancy dispute without further delay.

Other members of the delegation include Danfa Mantse Nii Afutu Brempong 3 Mayera Faase Mantse Nii Kwame Ankrah, Sarpeiman Mantse, Nii Sarpei Agbetikor 2, Nii Acquaye Adoquaye, Bortianor Dunkonah and Aplaku Mantse Nii Kwei Aplaku 2.
