As a group that is totally equipped in the struggle to tame Child
Abuse in Nigeria and indeed in Africa which has eaten the vital part
of the society, we at Poet Against Child Abuse (PACA), Rivers State
believe that name assassination is one odd among the varieties of
crimes against humanity and the peddlers of this un-wanted trade are
on it again.
Having closely monitored and investigated why Hon. Commissioner for
Information Rivers State, High Chief Ogbonna Nwuke is now a byword on
the lips of traducers, we have come to the affirmative that those
chasing the shadows against the Hon. Commissioner are just doing that
based on their on own imagination wishing they were appointed to that
exalted office of Rivers Information Ministry so that they would loot
funds directed for works in a sensitive ministry such as that of
Rivers Information Ministry, which act Nwuke hates to a fault and saw
as the worst of crimes against the Rivers State government and against
our people of Rivers State. Therefore, name-calling Nwuke is disfavour
against the dignity of a human being. He has done nothing that should
warrant the unnecessary vilification. Those witch-hunting him are
doing that on an illegal altar.
Without mentioning names, but those who are bent to this heinous act
know themselves and they are not doing that for the betterment of our
Rivers State, but to seeing how the illegal trade could better their
financial muscle.
We urge any embittered Rivers person to sheet his sword. Rivers State
can't make any progress if our people of Rivers State continued to
tinker and bicker. There are plenteous of human and natural resources
in Rivers State, but what is needed is unity to harness these
potentials. Being in the opposition is not room enough to mudsling any
ruling party with falsehood and negative aspersions. Nwuke should be
given some breathing space to serve with equity, transparency and
accountability. With that, nobody would be misled, information-wise.
Take note!
